once you are on the lake, you might be able to go just about anywhere by now.  especially once it cools down in the next few days.  we were driving all over on creel, wolfords and the mouth of creel on friday during the warm weather.  tis been melting for a few days now and i would guess the snow pack has really been diminished.  once it gets cold, whatever is left should be hard enuff to drive on.  or at least not give you too much trouble even if you sink down a few inches.  tricky part might be getting on the lake.  access certainly isn't eroded by the heat or anything.  but, there aren't many places where people have busted trails.  woodland has got a plowed trail system that will get you on the lake for $7.  i drive by the east bay boat ramp by camp grafton and that looks accessible to me too.  think you should be ok.  especially if you've got a friend and a rope "just in case".

Eastbay, 6 mile bay boatramp, and the north end of 6mile bay as accessed from township road from highway 19 access points have been cleared of snow.

Talked to Jason earlier this week and he said the place is a &^%$$%^& mess! So bringing your boots is probably a VERY good call, of course with this colder weather moving in you might not get as wet.

I say the heck with this ice stuff, bring on the SOFT WATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry!

Good Luck and Good Fishin'

Fished Walfords over the weekend and on Tuesday night.  You could drive off the trails and move around fairly good.  But areas with heavier snow were really slushy and most of the trail was covered with water.  A lot of the water was over a foot deep.  Also noticed ice isn't anywhere near as thick as most years.  Thick enough for now though.  Most areas the ice came up to about the top of the flighting.  In a normal year you'd need at least a 6" if not a longer extension by now.
