My prayers are with you and your family. Losing a pet is like losing one of your kids.

That is hard.  Been thru it 3 times myself, the last one the kids were here for back in February so it just made it all the harder.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

A good dog is not a dime a dozen.  A good dog will not only have hours of hard work put into, but they become part of the family.  You know what they are always thinking and it seams like they know what you are going to do even before you do it.  There is nothing that can replace a good dog.  Keep the memories and hope the next one is just as good or better.  Sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss.

Why isn't a pet like a child?  You have all the responsibility for taking care of them from the time they are little pups until they pass.  You work with them to teach them things and when they begin to display the traits you want you are as proud as a peacock.  Sure, some choose to keep their dogs outside in a kennel, which is something you wouldn't do with a child.  However, some of us choose to allow our pets to reside inside with us and form a bond that is every bit as strong as with most people.  I mean you're with them almost everyday of their lives, there is no arguing or bickering, just two of God's creatures enjoying and respecting the other.  Its basically the perfect relationship, maybe even a little lobsided considering they probably give us far more happiness then we give them!

Also, some of you guys are real tools for ripping this guy for his grammar and spelling.  Probably should take a long look in the mirror and worry more about your own faults instead of jumping this guy over something so stupid!!!

My condolences to you and your family. A good dog is a hard loss. Our family has tried to make it a point to get a puppy once our dog gets to be 10 yrs or more. We’ve found not only will the new puppy learn from the old dog but it seems to add a couple of years of life to that old hound.
Those that fail to show compassion during this time have never really had a good dog.
You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Thank you passiton, the bond is very strong between our four-legged friends and us. louieleatherneck, I can not fathom losing a child either.

My sympathy mimics the comments already made.

May your new best friend remind you of lost best friends every single day.  When I lost my dog Cody it was tough but now with our two dogs there is always something happening where we go "you dummy, Cody use to do that."  Or "good dog, you are just like Cody."  Etc, etc.

Always hurts to lose a good ole dog.  It will get better.  Until then, enjoy the memories.

Sorry to hear about your loss, I am old enought to have gone thru several dogs and for some reason the guy upstairs didn't seem to make their life spans long enough. We sure do seem to get attached to them in the short time we have them. Tim is correct in that another dog will somewhat help you ease some of the pain. You will always have your memories of your lost buddy.

Tim, thanks for deleting FB Bully's post. It was truly classless.

Worst thing about pets is they only last 10-15 years and we last 70-100.  Breaks your heart every single time you lose one!!!
