That animal rights lady on that show doesn't have a clue about conservation.

It is proof that the animal activist don't have a clue.  the ranchers told the right side of the story.  Then exotic animals on the endangered list will be extinct in 10 yrs.  But you must understand that she (discrimantion) got her way   To have t get a federal permit to hunt private property and private is wrong

The best democrat platform a Republican can stand on it a manure pile

For those that didn't see it, it was about how large ranches in Texas raise endangered or even extinct from the wild African big game animals and then sell hunts.  Some of the places have brought species back from just a handful of animals being left in the world to the point where they may be able to be reintroduced back to the wild.  Of course, the antis are against them being able to hunt the animals and have it tied up in court and a federal permit is going to be required to be able to hunt (and it will be extremely difficult to obtain).  The ranchers counter that if hunting isn't allowed there will be no incentive to keep the animals from going back to the brink of extinction.

Definitely a loaded segment there.  Figured it would pop up on here.  While I'm not crazy about high-fenced exotic game hunting, I don't see anything wrong with what they are doing in Texas.  When the interviewer asked the rancher "how can you hunt these animals but still love them" I just shook my head.  The rancher did a good job of keeping his composure and not getting annoyed by her questions which seemed to be written by tree huggers and he had very logical answers to everything.  Pretty much summed up how closed-minded the anti-hunters are when they asked the anti-hunting lady if she'd rather those animals go extinct than people be able to raise and hunt them and she in a roundabout way said yes.
