Trying to put toghter a date for out Ice fishing Tournament at Tobacco Gardens.  Last year we held it over Presidents weekend in Feb, but that was also the tourney at Skunk.  I dont want to overlap anyone else's tourney, so what would some date suggestions be???    it will be a 1 day tournament, and would like it some day in Feburary or late janurary.  Last year was alot of fun, so hopefully if we can nail down a better date more of you can make it.

Tim a little help.

Thanks,

Rex

Picking a date is kindof a double edge sword.  The earlier in January the lesser the chance of too much snow on the ice like last year, but the better chance of subzero temps.  Late february has a better chance for warmer temps but more snow accumulation.  Last year was a beautiful day but i think all the snow on the ice kept people home.  I would go with Feb 5th,12th, or 13th.

I'll be bringing a team as long as it doesn't end on the Skunk Bay tourney.  Which is usually set for 3rd weekend in Feb.  Gotta be the defending champs there and knock off Walleyes and Whitetails for first this coming year in this one.
