If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read this in english, thank a vet.

Yeah the gratis tags were present and yup the winner was a reservation tag.

Although, I know three state tag mule deer that would have been in the top four.  One would have absolutely walked away with the competition by probably 30 inches.

That is the beauty of it.  I'd do the same thing but you have to have neighbors that do the same thing unless you have monster acres.

But that aside, it is always a little "refreshing" to see state tags sittin on a big set of antlers.  Although, no telling if they came off private land themselves...ha ha!

Just one of those persona things. I fault no one, in fact...a little jealous.  But hey, I am a controlled jealous!

Thanks, kind of cool, i like those fishing events (ice atleast) that put the bigger prizes out not just for 1st place anymore.

Seems to me that the private land west Beulah towards Killdeer is the new hot spot for big muleys in ND.

No question about that. However, being from that area, i think its harder to get on land west of beulah for deer hunting than it was for us to get on private land in 4C. West of Beulah for about 20 miles is locked up tight, and I mean alot of it. Got to spray weeds this past summer for the county, so I got to scout alot of great land in that area, and finding land that was not posted was a very rare site.

Does anyone have pictures of the winners by themselves. I'd like to get a little closer look at some of these monsters.

I know alot of ranchers in west and they do not come to these kind of shows, I know of several deer every year that would do same as Tim said. Private land is key no hunting pressure grows bis deer. Congrats to all in every division.
