Photo Description:
After tons of scouting and several trips to the field I was finally able to put an arrow into a bird at 12 yards. First hunt on video as well, granted by the time we were set up till the arrow flew it was only 5 minutes so it was a quick hunt!

Good job on the hunt/shot!  Nice bird--and with a bow!  5 Minutes used=10 Minutes of fame left!

Outfitter,

The day you notched your tag may have only been a 5 minute hunt, but what about all the 5 am alarms, decoy setups, and cussing as the birds went the other way? This was well earned! It was about time things went our way!

Still, nothing like a big gobbler running in full speed and greeting him with a nice THWAAACK!

Most definitely Dirty! This was the hardest/frustrating, but most fun spring of hunting I've ever had! Seemed like everytime we had em figured out, they'd change their pattern. As usual, it was fun to have you along for the ride and thanks for running the camera! Can't wait to do er all over again next year!! Keep working on your purring for the camera :)
The kill is the satisfying, indeed essential, conclusion to a successful hunt. But, I take no pleasure in the act itself. One does not hunt in order to kill, but kills in order to have hunted. Then why do I hunt? I hunt for the same reason my well-fed cat hunts...because I must, because it is in the blood, because I am the decendent of a thousand generations of hunters. Thanks fella! Ya, I'm loving the Kuiu gear, can't wait to put it to the test in Alaska next month!
