Finally got my first elk my 3rd year hunting them. After several blown stalks and very close calls with several animals and some good bulls, I stalked and ambushed this cow @ 20 yards with some help from my partner and his cow call. Eight hours later after packing the elk and base camp out, the truck read 102 degrees as we drove out of the breaks. No meat spoiled.
