2010 15th Annual Dakota Walleye Classic Results

Similar to the Governor's Cup the 2005 walleye year class dominated. Very fish fish brought in were under 17 inches and it showed as weights were very competitive up and down the board.
While many anglers brought in their 10 weigh fish the fishing wasn't bang-bang-knock-em-dead. Lots of anglers worked hard for their 5 fish each day limits. Some did, however, manage to have superb days with bigger numbers of fish caught per day. Sakakawea is on the rebound and seeing the health of fish in the system is encouraging. In the next three years we'll see the "Big Lake" back to her prime. Of course, dependent on Mother Nature but at this moment she appears to be kind.
The top two teams were separated by only two hundredths of a pound. Big weight prize winner for day one consisting of DJ and Jason Erickson were edged by the consistent team of Jeff Enzminger and young Jordan Binstock. Jeff and Jordan brought in 13.38 and 13.26 pounds for the top weight of 26.64. They are common place in the DWC and their time on the water brought home the first place trophy. The crowd cheered as Jordan stood among men as Jeff and he raised their arms in celebratory fashion.
Congratulations to all fishing and a big thanks to the Beulah Chamber, all other volunteers and of course the great 2010 sponsors.
