There are some slobs on Lida. Seen my buddy pull a 15 and 15.5 in one day. Great crappie lake. I spend every weekend out there. Ice or no Ice! Congrats. Did you hear about that 3/4 ton truck that sank out there around the 28th of december?

As far as I heard...the guy was plowing out houses for $$ and had a big 3/4 ton pickup with a v plow and 2000 lbs of salt in a salt machine in the ass end of his pickup. He was destin to go through. I have buddies that have been driving on lida every day, even before this truck went through. I think he went in by clay point. it's all hear-say on the details but i've seen a picture of the truck hanging by the plow in the water. I think it's safe now though.

Yeah I went out on friday and and the ice was about 18 to 20in thick caught a bunch of small perch and one walleye about 14in. All in all it was pretty slow.... I talked to a guy that has a cabin out there and he said that the truck went through on south Lida... I dont know for sure like you said its all hear-say.

Where do people catch all these crappies in this lake?
